psychotherapy for trauma, self-worth, and attachment wounds

Home: Welcome

I'm Carly and I specialize in therapy for:

  • Roots of anxiety, insecurity, and overwhelm

  • Trauma + painful life experiences

  • Attachment wounds + complicated family dynamics

  • Deeply held beliefs about self-worth

Therapy with me:

  • Focuses on our connection to build a secure starting place to explore

  • Works towards experiencing your emotions and body sensations along with thoughts, memories, and deeply held beliefs

  • Considers how past experiences shape your present life and heals old wounds that you're still carrying

I weave types of therapy together to create a personal approach. I often use EMDR for trauma and other past wounds, attachment and emotion-based approaches like AEDP for building connection to your feelings and body, and uncover parts of yourself for exploring the ways younger versions of you coped.

I've been practicing psychotherapy since 2018, including with complex trauma in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. I offer in-person sessions in Guelph Ontario and virtual sessions throughout Ontario and B.C.

and let them mingle.

I acknowledge with significance and gratitude that my place of work is within the ancestral lands of the Haudenosaunee, Attiwonderonk, ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ (Anishinabewaki), and the treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, as well as virtually to the unceded traditional homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
